Led to the business by Uncle White, Mark and Eliza in 2011, Alex got great support from them. From then on, Alex found a new world and driven by his passion for the Aussie wines industry.

One day, Alex drove alone from Elmore to Melbourne and rested in Heathcote Inn for coffee. At the same time, Mellissa and Jules were sitting nearby, and said hello to Alex. Jules and Alex had gone through the similar life experience, they understood each other’s misfortune, and deeply moved as a fellow sufferer. After the happy random conversations, Mellissa and Jules invited Alex to their home for dinner. 

During the dinner, inspired by a book of Jules, Alex and Jules started to discuss the famous Chinese Book: Changes, until midnight.

In next day, Alex visited Richie(introduced by Jules) and met Lindsay by a random stopping on the road of Northern Hwy in Heathcote. Richie also introduced other growers and winemakers to Alex, including Peter and Lang.

While visiting Heathcote, Alex was influenced deeply by those warm-hearted locals and the unique Cambrian soils around the region, so he decided to do something based on Heathcote. 

Crucially, Uncle Choue, Sevta Crystal and Zhei fully supported Alex to start the new journey, that was the beginning of Joseph Lions Wines.
